We just got back from our family 2 week timeshare vacation and we had a great time. Our first day we went to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where we spent 3 days at a vacation Villiage resort in a community of Ft.Lauderdale called Weston. There were many timeshare resorts there that were setup around golf courses and pools. Our first morning there we did our tour and they took us to many highlights of the resort. They showed us where the best shopping malls were and of course my wife loved that, where the best places to eat were and the rest of the community on what they had to offer. We even had an opportunity of running into Dan Marino, for those of you who don’t know who he is, he used to be a quarterback for the Miami Dolphins NFL football team whom lives in the same area where we were staying at. After the tour the sales team for the vacation property gave us their sales pitch which we had declined for the reason of us already being a timeshare owner but what i didn’t know was if you were already an owner of a weeks time per year through Interval International we automatically were eligable to buy into RCI Points. People who did not previously own weeks could not buy into the points program. I had never heard of this before so this was a knew one for me. We went on a Water Taxi tour where they took us through the river canal to view homes and yacht’s.Some of the homes that were there were owned by people like the owners of TacoBell, the home where Sonny and Cher lived and where the owners of the Florida Panthers NHL Hockey team live. We had a blast in Ft. Lauderdale and we will be going back there again. It is a beautiful place for you to spend your timeshare holidays.
